On the appointment date, individuals are required to provide the thumb impression from their right hand if they are male and from their left hand if they are female. This thumb impression will be used to identify the specific bundle of Nadi leaves corresponding to their impression. Using this thumbprint, the Nadi reader can trace the details associated with the individual's Nadi leaf, facilitating an accurate reading and interpretation of their astrological insights.
Each bundle of Nadi leaves may contain predictions for hundreds of individuals, and in some instances, a specific palm leaf might include insights relevant to more than one person. While it's quite rare for a leaf or set of leaves to contain predictions for only one individual, when such cases do arise, we typically present the original palm leaves to the concerned individual. In most other situations, we do not provide customers with the original leaves, as they are periodically disposed of by immersing them in the Cauvery River.
Instead, we offer our clients a notebook where we meticulously record the original predictions written in Tamil. These predictions are then translated into the language of their choice. Over the past two years, only two single-leaf predictions have occurred: one in 1998 for a senior IAS officer and another in May 2000 for a senior politician who served as the All India General Secretary of a major ruling party. Both of these distinguished individuals received their original palm leaves as gifts. Additionally, a Japanese client who consulted us in 1995 was also presented with a unique leaf, as documented in the accompanying photo of him holding it
The process of selecting the appropriate Nadi leaf can take anywhere from two to three hours, depending on the individual case. At times, clients may be fortunate enough to find their leaf among just five or six options. Each leaf contains specific details about the individual, including their name, their spouse's name, their parents' names, the number of siblings they have, their birth order, and information regarding their father's marital status, such as whether he was married twice.
During the reading, witnesses, referred to as Sakshis, play an important role. As the details are read from the leaves, the client is required to either confirm or deny the information presented, but they should refrain from disclosing any details in advance. If the information on a particular leaf does not completely match the individual's family details, the next leaf is selected, and this process continues until the correct leaf, which fully aligns with the client's background, is identified
In general, individuals may not receive their Nadi leaf during a consultation, which suggests that the opportunity to uncover their future has not yet arrived. To accommodate those who have not successfully located their leaf, we frequently introduce new bundles from our headquarters, allowing them to try again in subsequent visits. Despite the time and effort we invest in the search for the leaf, we do not charge any fees if the client is unable to find it during their session. This reflects our commitment to ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to explore the insights of Nadi Astrology.
